About
I have spent seven years building web applications, front end and back end. Most of that work has been internal business systems, the kind people log into every day to get their job done. I care about code that stays clean enough for the next person to change without guessing. I pick up new tools when they earn their place, not because they are new.
Work Experience
I build and maintain the internal systems the company runs on. First was Employee Hub, a portal that took leave requests, shift changes, and overtime filing off paper. Then an inventory system with accounting built into it, which killed the duplicate data entry that kept stock counts and the books disagreeing. Most recently Jarvis, an enterprise web app covering 14 departments: sales, operations, design, printing, and installation. I sat down with each team to work out what they needed, then led the technical side of tying it all together.
I designed and built .NET desktop applications for client work. Worked out what each client needed on my own, with little supervision, and built to their spec. I stayed with each one through testing and debugging to find the flaws and fix them.

Some I ship in the open. Others are systems whole departments run on. Here are a few of my favourites.
Portfolio pages built one at a time, each shaped around what the person actually does for a living instead of dropped into the same template. A QA analyst gets a page that reads like a test report. A developer gets one that reads like source code. Three people have theirs so far.
Where staff file leave requests, swap shifts, log overtime, and check how much leave they have left. All from their own screen, instead of filling in a form and carrying it to someone else's desk.
